Buying A Home - Zoning and Architectural Review Board Restrictions

When you buy a house, you must be aware of the various things that can limit their control over the property. This is as true for finished lots and single family homes as it is for townhouses, condos and apartments. It& 39;s a good idea to understand these limitations before you buy, so you can decide if they& 39;re willing to live with them or not. After you buy, it is too late, you& 39;re stuck.
Zoning
In most jurisdictions, the limits of the zoning of how a piece of property may be used. There are many variations of residential zoning. In some, business is not allowed. Some allow business activity but no signs. In some commercial vehicles can not be parked on a regular basis.
Some residential permit a single dwelling by a quarter-acre or per acre for every ten hectares. Most limit the ability of the owner to subdivide the land.
